Updated: 9:11 a.m. EDT June 26, 2000
WEST PALM BEACH -- The teen accused of gunning down his language arts teacher last month will be getting financial help from the community.
Redemptive Life Fellowship Church in West Palm Beach is contributing to Nathaniel Brazill?s defense fund. The senior pastor at the church, Harold Ray, said he doesn?t feel a 13-year-old should stand trial as an adult. Ray has also recruited churches across the country to get involved and pitch in money for the boy?s defense. Prosecutors plan to try Brazill as an adult on first degree murder charges.
