Bob Kaple joined WPBF in March 2008. He reports and anchors WPBF News 25 weekend mornings.Kaple, a University of Miami graduate, is excited to call the Sunshine State home once again.He grew up in Tucson, Ariz., but was born in Washington, , which may explain his love of politics. Kaple comes to Florida after spending two and a half years reporting on the presidential race in Iowa. While working for KCCI-TV in Des Moines, he interviewed all of the candidates running for president.
Kaple began his career as a sports talk show host in Tucson and interned at KVOA-TV, the NBC affiliate in Tucson, and WFOR-TV, the CBS affiliate in Miami.Kaple is a huge fan of his Miami Hurricanes and their five national championships in football.In his spare time, you can find Kaple hitting the links at a local golf course or at the beach. He is also an Arizona basketball fan, enjoys baseball and is a college football fanatic.
