J.P. Hervis

South Floridian J.P. Hervis joined WPBF Channel 25 in March 2008 as the weekday morning anchor.J.P. was born in Miami. His move to WPBF is like a second homecoming for him. Most of his family has lived in the Palm Beach and Treasure Coast areas for years, so J.P. spent much of his life here.Before arriving at WPBF, J.P. spent three years as a reporter at WSVN in Miami. Prior to that, he worked as a reporter and anchor in Jackson, Miss. There, he earned a Mississippi Associated Press Award for his investigation of a burial insurance scam affecting dozens of Mississippians. The state Legislature would eventually pass a law providing better protection for burial insurance customers.
J.P. began his on-air career as a reporter and anchor at WBOY in Clarksburg, W.V., where he received the West Virginia Associated Press Award for spot news coverage.J.P. earned his degree at the University of Florida. He began his broadcasting career as a local sports radio personality on WTMN-AM in Gainesville. His experience also includes working for ESPN in production.If you see J.P. out in public feel free to say hello.
